Austria ACOnet | (3B) The scope of this policy is limited to those technologies, which are capable of supporting federated secure authentication and authorization of users as described by the Technology Profiles. The set of procedures and practices described in this document applies equally to all Technology Profiles of the ACOnet Identity Federation. (4.4A) In order to become an Identity Provider in the ACOnet Identity Federation an organization MUST be eligible for ACOnet participation and MUST become a participant of ACOnet. In order to become a member of the ACOnet Identity Federation as a Service Provider only, and to receive identity information from ACOnet Identity Federation Identity Providers, a Service Provider is NOT REQUIRED to become a participant of ACOnet. |
Australia AAF | 4.1 Subscription to the Federation is available to organisations and institutions which undertake or support education, research or research and development in Australia, including: 4.1.1 Tertiary Education Institutions, such as universities or vocational education institutions; 4.1.2 Government, Commercial Research Institutions and not-for-profit entities; 4.1.3 Government or Commercial Product and Service Organisations delivering products or services to the education and research sector; and 4.1.4 any other entity approved by the Executive Committee from time to time. 4.2 Subscribers will be registered to use the Federation using an eligibility criteria and registration process determined by the Executive Committee. 4.3 Subscribers may elect to apply to be a Member or Affiliate of AAF Inc. The eligibility criteria and joining process is determined by the Executive Committee. A Subscriber does not need to be registered as a Member or an Affiliate to use the Federation. |
Canada CAF | AND WHEREAS CANARIE policy states that in order for participants to access Canadian Access Federation services, participants must be members of CANARIE. |
Czech Republic eduID | 3.1 eduID.cz is used by organizations connected to the CESNET Network, pursing their research and education-related objectives. 5.1 The eduID.cz Federation may be joined by any organizations that fulfils the AP. Such an organization also needs to meet technical conditions and adhere to this Policy. Final decision on admitting an organization to the eduID.cz Federation belongs to the Federation Operator. 5.2 Organizations that do not fulfil the AP may join the federation in case they provide services to members who have joined under section 5.1. Organizations joining the Federation in this manner are not allowed to join identity provider services. Japan - Gakunin | Article 4. Member Organizations Participation in GakuNin is open to any of the following organizations: a. A Japanese inter-university research institute corporation, an incorporated administrative agency , a local incorporated administrative agency, an incorporated educational institution, or a public or private research and development institute belonging to SINET and that intends to deploy an IdP or SP. c. An academic society recognized by the Science Council of Japan cooperating research organization recognized by the CWSC and intending to deploy an IdP or SP. d. An organization intending to deploy an SP for the purpose of providing academic services to organizations defined in the preceding items a. to c. e. An organization intending to deploy an IdP for the purpose of using the academic services provided by the organizations defined in the preceding items a. to d. and whose participation in GakuNin is determined to be necessary by the CWSC. |

(4.3A) In order to become an Identity Provider in SWAMID an organisation MUST be eligible for SUNET membership and MUST become a Member of SWAMID. A Relying Party is in general NOT REQUIRED to become a Member of SWAMID in order to consume identity information from SWAMID identity providers. Technology Profiles MAY impose additional requirements on Relying Parties. |
