Notes

  1. Open Actions
    1. Terry has talked to the different APAN federations; most do not know anything about SCHAC. Heather to add a note to the REFEDS quarterly update about "what is SCHAC" to help inform the community that it is there and it exists.
    2. Heather has added the SCHAC item to the Work Plan; need to discuss the work plan on the next call
    3. Miro has reached out to Barry Leiba at the IETF for approval of the revised 6338-bis doc
  2. Administrivia
    1. Board slate for 2021-2022 - membership remains the same
  3. Subcommittee status
    1. voPerson - still in progress
  4. Status of splitting the eduPerson spec into core and supplemental
    1. Splitting Protocols From Schema Documents - changes still in progress between Keith and Benn, focusing a bit more on the attribute dictionary
  5. eduPersonAnalytics Code consultation - update
    1. Heather needs to follow up on this; there are several comments to consider
  6. Feedback on new entity categories
    1. The SeamlessAccess Contract Language working group has stated that the new entity categories are not fit for their purpose and do not meet the use cases they have defined. The fact that ePTID is not supported, instead using the SAML id's, and requires changes on the part of the IdP operator, is not acceptable. Also, that every library will have to register their entitlement with a central registry they feel will not scale.
      • Terry Smith will talk to edugain-steering to see about getting the need for migration of ePTID on their agenda
    2. Worth noting that the SAML identifiers will be available by default with Shibboleth v4.

  7. Next call: Review the SEB Work Item Portfolio
