Workplan 2016 for approval. Available in 2 forms:

All
  • Technical feedback - could we use blog-posts and ask federations to do an update every now and again?
  • R&S monitoring to be improved.
  • NH to do a report on the types of entities using R&S.
  • Would be useful if edugain could show a timeline of when tagged entities entered metadata to help us review.
  • Do we need to have an assurance working group in REFEDS?
  • More details needed on the DNS scope verification work and whether it can be taken forward.  How is this related to needs of interfederation?
  • Licia reported on the eIDAS liasion work.
  • External contracts:
    • Heather on supporting the working groups and liaison eduPerson /SCHAC
    • Ian Young to continue the IETF and to support the saml2Int profile
  • Evangelic SP - to show how federated access works; this won't start until before April
  • Work with libraries - also this to start after April
  • Motivate NRENs to share plans - proposed to ask NRENs to write blog entries rather than maintaining a list on the wiki.
  • ACTION - All to share any ideas on the promotion.
  • DNS verification - federations may want to know how other federations validate entities. Could this help to address this?
15:20 - 15:30Review of current workLF/NH
  • Mostly as reported as above.
  • PEER code has been delivered and reviewed but not migrated to REEP yet.  Leif has reported that the migration from the old to new code has not been as smooth as he hoped due to the need to migrate the old data.  Licia has suggested that it would be better to find someone who is less busy to do the new install for REEP.  Leif has suggested that the PEER developers to put up an image for the Nordunet NOC to pull.
  • SWAMID reported that they are considering using PEER as a resource registry. Question of why we have multiple different resource registries.
  • Interesting proposals around dicussing what the feature requirements are for a registry.
15:30 - 15:40Review of R&S UptakeNHNo review on which services are in R&S and how they are classified. Questions around services that are more administrative (i.e. mailing list management etc) rather than being used for a specific research. SC supports the creation of a process to review the way services are tagged. This result can be linked to eduGAIN to get also information on which entity have joined.
15:40 - 15:50Attribute release promotional actions on the back of LIGONH / LF
