    1. REFEDS Budget

VAT is still an issue.  Might be worth considering asking Michiel Leenaars to present the Commons Conservancy model to REFEDS SC.

3. Meetings

REFEDS agenda for TechEx is online, a first last minute adjustments to be made.  Heath Marks asked if it would be a good idea to have a 10 minute recap of FIM4R (yes). 

  • Heather Flanaganto reach out to FIM4R folks and offer an update slot at REFEDS. 

Hackathon at I2 TechEx - 10-11 December 2019, New Orleans is well in planning stage, lots of interest. 

eduGAIN Town Hall is planned for March in Stockholm.  Plan is to keep this very eduGAIN focused so probably not a good place for REFEDS. 

REFEDS will take place on MONDAY 8th June in Brighton.  SC were positive about running the DE programme again but wondered if it might also be good to send engineers to TechEx as a slightly different experience to TNC.  Nicole wasn't sure of the implications of sponsoring people to the US, will check with I2.

Try to meet up for lunch during TechEx as SC.

4. MET and Service Catalogue

MET is desperately in need of an update.  Possible solutions include:

 - updating current codebase.

 - utilising a different tool (Jagger?).

 - scrapping MET

 - your ideas here. 

Nicole will put out an email on REFEDS for a small group of people to help her brainstorm the best approach to moving this forward.  An ACAMP session might also be useful.

5. 2019 workplan

No specific comments.  Nicole gave a brief update on the REFEDS Survey (36 responses so far).  For the working groups, it seems that IoLR has reached end-of-life and OIDC(re) is mostly all happening on OIDC lists.  Need to verify status with the WG chairs. 

  • Heather Flanaganto reach out to IoLR and OIDC(re) WG chairs to see if they want to continue with the groups.  

6. 2020 Workplan Preparation

Nicole will send out a call for ideas right before TechEx, during the meeting at TechEx and straight after.  Ideas will be brought back to the SC in the new year.   Invoices for 2020 will be sent out in December. 

7. Next call

Nicole will suggest 4 meeting dates on a similar schedule to this year as a first attempt.  If that doesn't work, will go to doodle polls.
